Ventilation and Pressurisation Systems- A Basic Know-how of Their working

Pressurization systems were installed to pressurize the enclosure and provide a slightly higher pressure than the adjacent area. This is done to prevent air/smoke/gases from entering the closed room. In such an application, all doors and windows are normally closed. When a door is opened to enter workers or materials, indoor air comes out due to high internal pressure and outside air does not enter the closed room.

The system consists of:

1) The filtered air supply in a closed room.
2) Pressure relief system to prevent overpressure in the department, then provided.
3) The system is valid for electrical rooms, medicine blocks, air-conditioned areas, CNC workshops, machine assembly areas, elevator machine rooms, compressor rooms, stairwells, community rings.

According to VentechSystems, their pressurization systems offer the following advantages:

1) Protection of escape routes
2) Protection of extinguishing shafts
3) Compliance with all standards.
4) Ideal for multi-story use.

A VentechSystem pressurization system consists of three main components: supply air, pressure relief, and air outlet. The combination of these elements creates a positive pressure difference that prevents everything to enter the chamber.

VentechSystems Design methodology for Pressurization Systems:

1) Evaluation of the usage and structure of the building, the area to be pressurized and the required system class.
2) Assess leak paths.
3) Calculate the required volumetric flows.
4) Calculate the area of the pressure relief rods.
5) Calculate the ventilation area.

Ventilation Systems Working:

Ventilation systems provide adequate air circulation to ensure the comfort of people in the work area. The system can be of two types. The first is a cool and dry ventilation system located outside the filtered air pump in the area. In most cases, such systems are installed to put pressure on the area. It can be with fan cooling. Here the outside air is cooled before being released into the air. Cooling can be done with a conventional spray system, an evaporative cooling system, or Celdec cooling pads. Suitable extraction is required for both of the above applications. Exhaust gases can, of course, come from doors and windows or mechanically from ducts and fans. Sometimes ceiling fans are also installed to remove heat from the room.

What is mechanical ventilation defined by VentechSystems?
Mechanical fans direct mechanical ventilation. Fans can be connected directly to windows, walls or air ducts to feed or ventilate the room. The type of mechanical ventilation depends on the climate. In hot and humid climates, leakage may need to be minimized or prevented to reduce condensation. In these cases, Ventech Systems uses the mechanical positive pressure ventilation system. Conversely, leakage should be prevented in cold climates and vacuum ventilation should be used to reduce interstitial condensation. For a room containing locally produced contaminants, such as a B. bathroom, toilet or kitchen, the vacuum system is often used.
